The Perceptual Qualities of Chemical Haptics on the Skin

Procedure

After you press "next" on this page, do the following:
  • Move your arm into the box, like so:
  • Place your arm on the armrest, such that your arm does not touch the box.
  • Wait until the liquid touches your skin, like so:
  • Press the "Start" button (on the next page) immediately. You can carefully remove your arm from the box, but please keep it on the armrest.
  • Press the "I feel a sensation" when you perceive an out-of-the-ordinary sensation on the place the liquid touched your arm.
  • Once you do not feel any out-of-the-ordinary sensations anymore, press the "No sensations are perceivable anymore"-button.
  • Afterwards, you will have the option to report which sensations you have felt.
  • Press this button immediately after the liquid touched your skin.
  • Press this button when you perceive an out-of-the-ordinary sensation on the place the liquid touched your arm.
  • Press this button once you do not feel any out-of-the-ordinary sensations anymore.
Select the sensations that you felt after the liquid touched your skin.
